Why Preventative Termite Treatments are Essential
Termites are masters of avoiding detection. Here’s why it’s easy to miss them while they inflict minor to significant damage to your home:
- Underground colonies: Subterranean termites often live in soil near your home. They build tunnels through dirt and tiny cracks in your foundation or slab to reach wooden structures. Because they remain mostly hidden, they can chew through wood and other building materials for months or years without being noticed, eventually causing major structural damage.
- Stealthy feeders: Termites don’t walk openly through your kitchen or living room. They silently enter walls, floors, and other wooden structures, slowly undermining your home’s integrity. By the time visible signs appear, colonies may already be large, and structural damage can be extensive.
- Nonstop chewing: Once inside, termites work around the clock. The longer they remain, the more they eat, weakening your home piece by piece.
Early action saves money: Although preventative treatment may have an upfront cost, it prevents expensive repairs and emergency treatments later.
Protect your home’s integrity: Regular treatment keeps your home safe and avoids serious structural problems.
Peace of mind: Knowing your home is termite-free allows you to focus on living, not worrying.
What Preventative Termite Treatment Includes
Professional Termite Inspection
Because termites are so difficult to detect, having someone who knows what they’re looking for inspect your house is essential. Termio Pest Control’s highly trained technicians are well-versed in identifying signs of termite activity and locating termite damage.
When we visit your home for termite control, we'll first thoroughly inspect your house and property. We look for signs of termite activity, damage, and conducive conditions that might attract termites. Once our inspection is complete, we’ll review our findings with you and recommend a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Termite Treatments
Termio Pest Control uses the Trelona ® ATBS system to protect homes from termites. We will install bait stations in the ground around the perimeter of your house. The bait in these systems attracts termites to the stations instead of your home. Once the termites encounter the bait, they bring it back to the nest, eliminating the entire colony, including the queen!
We’ll return to your property yearly to check and refill the bait stations as needed.
If we find evidence of termite activity in your house during our initial inspection, we’ll also provide the necessary treatments to eliminate the colony inside your home.
Termite Re-Treatment Warranty
Our termite re-treatment warranty gives you ongoing protection and peace of mind. If termites come back, we’ll return to eliminate them at no extra cost. The warranty is renewable every year, and we perform annual inspections to ensure your home stays fully protected with no lapses in coverage.
